All orders are sent in specially-constructed
shipping containers with gel packs to keep your seafood cold.
All lobster orders include free lobster bibs, placemats and
instructions on how to handle and prepare your lobsters. Picture

Seafood products are very
perishable. All our shipments are packed with ample refrigerant to
maintain the product in average weather conditions for the shipping period
(estimated conservatively to allow for some extra time). It is strongly recommended
that someone be available to receive shipments. If you are sending a gift to
someone, please notify them when to expect the delivery. If no one is
available, and the package is left unattended for an extended period
(especially in hot climates), we cannot guarantee the seafood will
remain in good condition.
Upon receipt we recommend that you unpack
contents as soon as possible and store the seafood in the
refrigerator to maintain optimum
freshness. The shipping containers are not suitable for storing your
product after receipt.
Please check the shipping address carefully for errors.
We cannot guarantee shipments that UPS (United Parcel Service) is unable to deliver, or deliver on time. If we can recover shipping costs, we will pass this along to you.
As our guarantee indicates, this situation is also handled on a case by case basis.

Check your lobsters
as soon as they arrive. Sometimes a lobster will appear to be limp and
lifeless as it may tire out during transit. Weak lobsters have droopy
claws and tails and show little reaction or response when handled. These
lobsters should be cooked right away. If the lobster appears to be dead
please call us immediately. The best way to keep your lobster until you
are ready to begin cooking is to place them in the refrigerator to keep
them cool. Cover them with damp newspaper, keeping the gills moist,
allowing them to breathe. Do not put your lobster in fresh water, as this will certainly cause the little guy to perish.

If you are not completely satisfied with your order, or if you perceive there might be a problem, then you must contact us immediately.
It is very rare that a problem would occur with your order. If there is a problem, it is almost always related
to a shipping carrier delay/issue. We handle all problems on a case by case basis. We are fair, and have always exceeded the customer's
expectations, in this respect. We invite you to talk to someone who has ordered from us in the past, and get their thoughts
on how we assisted them with their particular situation. We would rather come up with the short end of the stick, rather
than our customer.

cooked lobsters?

Prior to shipping, the lobsters are cooked for about six minutes, then
chilled and packed to travel. When you receive your lobsters you can
keep them for up to two days before finishing the cooking process by
cooking them for a further seven to ten minutes, depending on their
size.
Why we recommend buying partially cooked lobsters

The taste of partially cooked lobsters is virtually indistinguishable from
lobsters you would cook yourself live. We recommend buying partially cooked
lobsters because of the reduced risk of receiving spoiled product and the convenience of being able to keep them for a couple
of days prior to re-cooking and serving. They are also cheaper to ship
because they can be sent via 2nd Day Air while Live lobsters must be sent
via Next day Air.

The live lobsters you
have received are naturally dark greenish-black, and will turn their
characteristic bright red color upon cooking.

cooked lobsters should be cooked within one to two days. Upon receiving
your order, store all shellfish in the refrigerator until meal-time.

No. That's our story and we're sticking to it!
Lobsters have a very primitive nervous system similar to that of a
grasshopper. A lobster’s nervous system is lower on the evolutionary scale
than that of fish, and is designed to respond to very basic stimuli
contained within their habitat. Scientific research conducted at the Maine
Department of Marine Resources shows that lobsters, like most other marine
invertebrates, cannot survive heat exposure and can die at temperatures of
30 degrees Celsius, which feels lukewarm to human touch.
Q. Are shellfish high in cholesterol?

No. Cholesterol in
shellfish are lower than those in beef, pork and even chicken (the two
exceptions being shrimp and squid which have higher levels than other
seafood). The really good news is that eating shellfish can actually help
to reduce overall cholesterol levels. This phenomenon is due to the
omega-3 fatty acids found in seafood, which actually reduce the body's
absorption of cholesterol. So relax and enjoy, this stuff not only tastes
great it's also good for you!
